Delivering Health

Going beyond the setting up of healthcare infrastructure, beyond the paradigm of “build and they will come”, in this day of thinking universal health, there is an urgent need to redefine how and where to deliver preventive, promotive and curative healthcare services. The delivery needs to be timely, at the place where it is required and in a way that it does not impoverish the recipient or the provider. The components of delivering health will be impacted by the technical skills personnel will have as well as the social insights into ensuring that no one who requires a healthcare intervention is left behind.
